About Transportation
Public Transportation:
1. Pingyao has railway stations (Pingyao Station), high-speed railway stations (Pingyao Ancient City Station), and bus stations. Transportation is extremely convenient.
2. Transportation outside Pingyao Ancient City includes bus routes 1 and 102 from the Pingyao Railway Station to the North Gate of Pingyao Ancient City (1 stop); from the Pingyao High-Speed Railway Station to the North Gate of Pingyao Ancient City, bus route 108, approximately 40 minutes;
Pingyao Bus Station to the North Gate of Pingyao Ancient City is a short walk. Taxis are available outside Pingyao Ancient City, with a starting price of 5 yuan (excluding evenings).
It's recommended to book your accommodation in advance and inquire about shuttle services. Most hotels outside Pingyao Ancient City (around 99%) offer free parking, but hotels located within Pingyao Ancient City, particularly traditional courtyard inns, typically do not provide free parking.
