Sizzling Pork Belly Roasted, Served with Beer – The Perfect Evening Meal

It's been a long time since I've used the oven for meat dishes, I've always made small baked pastries. Let's quickly arrange a hardcore oven-baked pork belly.

The freshly baked pork belly is still sizzling with oil, be patient and wait for a moment. When the surface oil drips off and the temperature cools slightly, this is when the skin is at its crispiest, so cut it open quickly to ensure the meat and skin remain intact.

Pick up a piece, dip it in a little white sugar or sprinkle with cumin powder, and take a bite – first the crispy skin, then the softness of the fat, and finally the sweetness of the lean meat; the fat is fully roasted and not greasy, and the lean meat is full of fat, not dry. The combination of three textures is surprisingly harmonious~

Pork Belly 500g, 30g of Light Soy Sauce, 15g of Oyster Sauce, 5g of Five Spice Powder, 5g of Cumin Powder, 3g of Chili Powder, 3g of Salt, 3g of White Sugar, Ginger Slices, Appropriate Amount, Green Onion Slices, Appropriate Amount, White Vinegar, A Little

1,Put pork belly in cold water, add ginger slices and appropriate green onion slices, cover the pot with a lid and simmer over low heat for 10~15 minutes.

2,In a bowl, pour in 30g of light soy sauce, 15g of oyster sauce, 5g of five-spice powder, 5g of cumin powder, 3g of chili powder, 3g of salt, and 3g of white sugar, and stir until well combined.

3,Cut the pork belly in half, and cut each piece into two slices, but don't cut through, apply the prepared sauce to every part of the pork belly, and be thorough!

4,Wrap the pork belly with skin side up in aluminum foil, poke holes with toothpicks, as many as possible; then brush with a layer of white vinegar, this is a crucial step for making the skin crispy!

5,Put it in the oven, 200 degrees Celsius, bake for 30 minutes.

Tip: If you don't have an oven, you can use hot oil to fry. Fry the pork belly over medium heat until the surface is golden brown, and you can easily poke through the meat with a fork to indicate that it is cooked through, then drain the oil and fry it again for about 1 minute to make the skin even crispier.
6,Remove the oil, put it back on the baking tray, and put it in the oven, 200 degrees Celsius, continue baking for 10~15 minutes (adjust the time according to the temperament of your oven).

7,The pork belly is golden and crispy after baking, take it out to cool slightly and cut it into small pieces, dip it in white sugar or sprinkle with cumin powder, and enjoy!
