Learn to Make Cakes at Home Without Cake Powder or Oil - Easy and Successful First Time!
Teach you to make cakes at home, without cake powder or oil, the method is simple and successful the first time! Recently, everyone has started to make cakes, and a few days ago I posted a sponge cake recipe, and a friend left a message asking, can you use ordinary flour to make cakes? In fact, it's not possible because the flour used to make cakes is low-gluten flour, which has a low protein content, so the cakes baked with it are fluffy and delicious. However, some friends don't have some cake powder prepared in advance, what to do? So today I'll teach you a method that doesn't need flour to make cakes.

The ingredients for this cake are particularly simple, just eggs and sugar, without flour and oil, it's also healthy to eat, and the method is super simple, basically zero failure, just look at the organization inside the cake, it's light and delicate, and the texture is like clouds, so its name is Cloud Cake.

This cake is particularly suitable for baking beginners, you only need to whip one egg white, which is very rewarding, let's take a look at the specific recipe together!
Cloud Cake
Ingredients: 2 eggs, 30g white sugar, 8g cornstarch, a little lemon juice, dried fruits as needed
Method and steps:
Step 1: First, prepare all the ingredients, you can add dried fruits according to your own preferences, I used dried cranberries and almonds.

Step 2: Mix the white sugar and cornstarch evenly, when whipping the egg whites, pour it in, the purpose of adding cornstarch is to make the stability of the whipped egg white better and not easily deflate.

Step 3: Separate the egg yolks and egg whites, here we only need egg whites, you don't need egg yolks, you can make other delicious foods with them, inject a few drops of lemon juice, if you don't have lemon juice, you can use vinegar instead.

Step 4: Use an electric beater to whip the egg whites until they form a large nav pit shape, then pour in the white sugar and continue to whip.

Step 5: This is about five minutes, at this time the egg white is in a large bay shape, which is wrong, you must continue to whip it.
Step 6: When the egg white is 10 minutes, when you lift the beater, there should be a hard and upright small triangular shape, this state of egg white is considered to be whipped, it's best to use an electric beater to whip it, don't use chopsticks, chopsticks really can't whip it to this state, so it will cause the cake to fail and make you feel frustrated, which will also lose interest in making cakes.

Step 7: Pour the whipped egg white into the baking pan, remember to lay a piece of oil paper to easily demold, use a knife to scrape into a circle, and then sprinkle with your favorite dried fruits.

Finally, put it in the oven, upper and lower fire 170 degrees bake for 30 minutes, here I reiterate again, the oven temperature is just a reference, because every oven will have a temperature difference of about 20 degrees, your oven may be skewed, baking for 30 minutes at 170 degrees may burn, so according to your usual oven temperature to bake, the oven must be preheated in advance.

Time is up, take the cake out of the oven, demold it after cooling, and you can eat it, the texture is very good, delicate and light, just like clouds, and then come a cup of coffee, it's also a beautiful afternoon tea!
