Shirahama Onsen: An Essential Element of the Hokuriku Region
Let me say that the most attractive element of my Japan trip is definitely the onsen. Due to Japan's unique geographical location, there are diverse onsen resorts wherever you go. So, during this trip to the Hokuriku region, I absolutely had to find a distinctive onsen. I've heard that Shirahama Onsen is renowned in the Hokuriku area, and we stayed at Shirahama Onsen Misamaru Hotel, which has a Japanese-style atmosphere, with a balcony in the room having an outdoor bath, public area game rooms and karaoke facilities that make the trip feel like a relaxing vacation. What's more, the hotel has a very beautiful and exquisite lake and garden landscape, it's really a wonderful experience to stroll through the garden after dinner, watching the sunlight shining through the gaps in the leaves, revealing sparkling points of light, and smelling the fragrant flowers carried by the wind. It's a very comfortable thing. And you can also feed koi in the lake, I wonder if there's any language barrier when wishing for koi-san?

The second biggest expectation of my Japan trip is, of course, delicious Japanese cuisine! The hotel also has Japanese kaiseki cuisine made with fresh seasonal ingredients. Whether it's the freshness of the ingredients, the taste of the cooking, the elegance of the tableware, or the arrangement of the food, it's at an extremely high level of artistic requirements. The concept of 'not enticing with fragrance, but with thought' of kaiseki cuisine is best presented before us. We tasted many beautiful Japanese dishes without even leaving the hotel!
According to the room number, you can book dinner in a private room in advance, and the hotel's chef has been starred by a rating system!

Japanese cuisine emphasizes the ceremony here, and it's shown in a very exquisite way. And the Hokuriku region has the advantage of eating seafood because of its proximity to the sea, so the deliciousness and freshness of seafood are naturally unquestionable!

Besides all the above, the hotel's biggest feature is that you can bathe in an onsen right in the room. When bathing becomes a private matter, the sense of comfort will be infinitely upgraded. In the most comfortable temperature, let the hot spring gently embrace the body, let time flow slowly, let worries melt into the warm mist.
Tips:
1The onsen areas are divided into private onsen (inside the room balcony) and public onsen areas, such as going to the public onsen to bathe, you need to choose a Japanese-style bathrobe from the onsen in the designated area on each floor. The hotel has sorted the sizes and placed them for you to choose from, you just need to choose your favorite color or pattern. But the opening hours of the public onsen vary from hotel to hotel, so you need to inquire in advance.
2When checking in, a staff member will help you guide the location of the hotel and its functions, and will deliver your luggage to your room. After confirming that there are no mistakes, they will leave. If you have any questions about the hotel, you can ask the staff, they are very enthusiastic.
3You need to inform the restaurant in advance when booking dinner, and the restaurant will reserve a private room for you according to the agreed time. Japanese people have a strong sense of time, so try not to be late.
