Self-Driving Tour Along the Sui-Man West Line, Passing Through Zhalin Nature Reserve and Ending at the Russian Border
August 8th
Self-driving tour of the Sui-Man West Line, which is the route from Harbin to Manzhouli (the starting point of G10, the Sui-Fan Highway, is Sui-Fan River, and the destination is Manzhouli), our first stop is Zhalin National Nature Reserve, China's largest and world-renowned wetland, located in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. The protection area focuses on 35 species of birds, with the most famous being the crane, of which there are 15 species worldwide, 9 species in China, and 6 species in Zhalin
From Zhalin Nature Reserve to Jinzhanghan, we arrived in the Hulunbuir grassland. Jinzhanghan Mongol tribes are Hulunbuir, the only nomadic tribes. Hulunbuir grassland, this is a natural pasture, you can also eat Mongolian food while riding horses on the grassland
Our third stop is Huhuling, located in the western Hulunbuir grassland of the New Bargulan and New Barguru flags in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, between Manzhouli City. It is the largest lake in Inner Mongolia. We ate fresh fish and bought mutton for barbecue, and everyone had a picnic by the lake – it's beautiful…
Manzhouli is the last stop of this self-driving tour, the Sui-Man West Line. Manzhouli is a county-level city directly under the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, located in the hinterland of the Hulunbuir grassland, bordering Mongolia to the west and Russia to the north. China's largest land port city. The towering and magnificent gate is a landmark of Manzhouli, and you can see the opposite Russia boundary marker.
