Kunming Information Port (Kunming Daily reporter Ren Yixiang) Yesterday, the 2020 Yilian Fifth Ba Hong Tea Culture Tourism Festival opened. A series of activities, including tea picking experience, tea picking competition, tea frying skills competition, and (Yi ethnic tea worship), were held, with vibrant presentations. Ba Hong tea originates from Ba Hong Mountain, 5 kilometers northwest of Yilian County, and was once a royal tribute product, one of the famous teas in Yunnan, often referred to as 'Yunnan Longjing tea'
On the same day, the Ba Hong Mountain highway was successfully completed and opened to traffic. The Ba Hong Mountain highway is 6.5 meters wide and has a total investment of 85 million yuan. It is one of the few village roads in Yilian County built to four-level highway standards. The opening of the Ba Hong Mountain highway will expand tea picking, tea viewing, and tea tourism, which is of great significance to Yilian's development of green food brands and the overall tourism development.
