Fully Imitated Qing Dynasty Ancient Village: The Qianlong Emperor Visited Multiple Times
With more and more people traveling these days, and tourist attractions constantly expanding, ancient towns have become particularly popular in recent years. Jiangsu Province, in particular, boasts a wealth of ancient towns, and one that's worth exploring is Qianhua Village, just an hour's drive from Nanjing. However, unlike many famous ancient towns, Qianhua Village is a relatively new, imitation Qing Dynasty-style tourist resort.
Qianhua Village is located in Baohua Town, Jiangsu. It was previously known as Yangliuquan Village, and was reportedly named by the Qing Emperor. After wanting to develop the tourism industry, the locals gradually moved away, and Yangliuquan Village was rebuilt and became even more charming, rebranding as Qianhua Village.
Highly nostalgic
Although Qianhua Village doesn't have a particularly long history, it still possesses significant cultural depth. The surrounding buildings are built into the mountains and have a distinct sense of age.
Walking through the village, you feel as if you've truly stepped back into the Ming and Qing dynasties. However, not many people know about Qianhua Village, and many of its beautiful sights remain undiscovered, which is a bit of a pity.
The Qing Emperor visited six times
Upon arriving at Qianhua Village, you'll find its location is highly advantageous, with stunning scenery. This is why the Qing Emperor visited six times. Furthermore, the village's spring water is exceptionally sweet, and the Qing Emperor would drink tea with it, which was then known as Yangliuquan, and the village was named accordingly.
Most post-built ancient villages are difficult to gain the recognition of the public, but Qianhua Village has been praised by many. Walking through the village, you can see many Ming and Qing-style buildings, including various shops such as breweries and money changers, effectively recreating the life of the Ming and Qing dynasties. This is why Qianhua Village is so popular.
