Under Yunnan's Snow Mountains, a 3000-Year-Old Bodhi Tree Sprouts a 'Buddha Hand', Considered Lucky by Locals
Shangri-La in Yunnan has a beautiful and mysterious place called Balahatu. Balahatu has towering, cloud-piercing snow mountains, clear streams, and majestic canyons, as well as a village almost cut off from the world. And within this village is a very peculiar landscape, which is just one tree.

What makes this tree so unique? It isn't standing independently on the land, but instead, its entire body and canopy are climbing on a cliff face. The originally bare cliff face is covered with bodhi leaves, with an area of about 400 square meters! From a distance, it looks like a phoenix spreading its tail. Therefore, this bodhi tree is called 'Phoenix Bodhi Tree'. And this tree is over 3000 years old.

People have specially built a fence around the tree to protect it. But besides the tree's appearance, there is also a very magical place, where at 1 meter high, a human-like root emerges, with five fingers that are lifelike. It feels a little like a hand that has been burned, a little scary.

This tree is also revered as a totem by the locals, and every tourist who comes here will be amazed by the tree's appearance, because the trees we usually see are those that shoot straight into the sky. But have you noticed that this tree seems to resemble a scene in 'The Battle of Mt. Shu'?
