Henan Province Pursues New Approaches to Tourism; Teachers Receive Half-Price Tickets
Tourism, in simple terms, means visiting major scenic spots, some of which are free and some are paid. However, with the development of diversification, many people have started wild travel routes, which is often due to two reasons: commercialized scenic spots lack challenge, and the ticket prices are not low.

Talking about ticket prices, anyone who has traveled before will have a feeling: after playing, they feel that the money spent on tickets is not worth it. This has gradually led to a feeling of aversion to scenic spots. Therefore, starting in 2019, the country has vigorously guided major scenic spots to reduce ticket prices.
On March 27th, Henan Province also issued the 'Henan Province Tourism Regulations'. The most relevant issue for the common people in this latest tourism regulation is the issue of scenic spot ticket prices, and the scope of half-price tickets has been further expanded, with a very awe-inspiring profession – teachers – added in between.

Previously, discounts for teachers were often decided by scenic spots themselves or launched during Teacher's Day with various free or exclusive activities. However, Teacher's Day is only one day and cannot satisfy teachers' true travel needs. Although some scenic spots will implement it until the end of September, the number of public holidays is only 5 days.
As knowledge disseminators, teachers have cultivated a large number of talents and made great contributions to society. Henan Province's ability to legislate and implement half-price policies for teachers is a respect for them, and it also allows them to bring the outside world back to the classroom and share it with their students.

There have been many places that have issued various regulations before, but they do not have mandatory implementation. However, Henan Province has conducted legislation to maximize the implementation of the regulations, ensuring that the preferential policies truly benefit people. It's worth noting that Henan Province has opened up a new approach in the development of the tourism industry, and we hope other provinces can follow this example.
