Zuchun Distillery is one of the few state-owned enterprises in Maotai Town. It is the only state-owned distillery producing fragrant white liquor besides Maotai Distillery. They operate their production management in a standardized manner; quality management is strict; and technology is constantly refined. Zuchun Distillery produces fragrant white liquor called Zuchun Wine.
Zuchun Wine, the main product of Zuchun Distillery, participated in the fifth National Wine Appraisal in 1988. It was the best among similar products in terms of quality, with outstanding fragrance, smooth taste, delicate body, long aftertaste, and persistent aroma, earning it a silver award from the State Quality Award of the People's Republic of China.
Zuchun Distillery was established in 1956 to strengthen the supply of military rations by the Guiyang Military District. After technical upgrades during the '65' period, its annual production capacity reached 2500 tons of white liquor. With a brewing history of 56 years, the factory is located in Maotai Town, the 'holy land' of fragrant white liquor, overlooking the Yangtze River with the Maotai Distillery.
